Gaming Corner #1

Well I was thinking, since I really don’t have much to post most of the time on here I would do a Gaming Corner and post my favorite games.

Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich Freedom Force vs. The Third Reich
This game is a sequel to Freedom Force the first successful superhero game. Before this game, all superhero games were doomed to fail but no one knows why. This game is an RPG of sorts. It combines the micromanaging of RTS games with a pause feature and also RPG elements, such as the ability to upgrade your hero powers. This game very much keeps the “over-the-top-ness” of superhero comics of the 50’s and 60’s. You get a lot of cheezy dialogue which is played wonderfully by the voice actors. The backstories and other cutscenes outside of the actual game are all played in a comic style format. All in game cutscenes and mission briefing are using the game engine, which looks really great compared to the first game. The graphics are improved a bit from the last game, such as when you destroy some or all of a building it looks more realistic. Also as from the last game, whenever a superhero or villian wallops someone, you get those comic book punch bubbles. The stories are also just as enticing as a real comic book will. So these are just some of my impression of the game. If you would like to read more about this game, read some reviews of the game.

That’s it from Gaming Corner, see you next time!
